Things to do

We have books and maps and guidebooks for you to plan your time on Skye. There are blankets for stargazing and enjoying the firepit on clear, starry nights. Bring your favourite crafts or books. We have loads of firewood from the trees here on the croft for you to enjoy a the log burner. There’s jigsaw puzzles and watercolour paints. The big windows are great for just watching the weather. It’s cosy and comfy and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking - find some local seafood when you are out and about and bring it back to enjoy.

Is Stonechat Bothy suitable for children?

We haven’t set up Stonechat Bothy with kids in mind. There is a deep ditch and burn that runs alongside the bothy (which is so nice to listen to after the rain) and the log burning stove has a stone base and isn’t blocked off. The shower screen is also fixed and can’t be pushed be back and it is one huge sheet of glass. The cleaning products under the sink are accessible.
